So overstretched are the UKs Armed services, it will be difficult to use them for any future national disaster/emergency or lets say a Firefighters strike. So the government, with their strong pro privatisation line thought of this gem.
Wouldnt the money be better spent investing in the emergency services? Now theres an original thought.
(Withdrawing our slavish support for US imperialist adventures in the middle east would also save a bob or two; look after the pennies and they will look after the pounds).
