I have never liked Hutton either. In short I think the guy is a Tory. I'm not trying to be offensive but honest. If he switched benches tomorrow no one would notice the difference. Unfortunately this applies to a number of other 'Labour' front benchers but hey, who's counting.
It seems to be that every time Labour needs a positive boost in publicity this guy gets wheeled out and Labour drops a few percentage points. Hopefully the Unions will get their way and we'll get someone who can at least pay lip service to trade unionism, I mean we don't want to go far do we!!
